Hey! Tomorrow is the last of 4 stellar residency shows that the Bits Of Shit have done in August at the Old Bar. This last show is going to be sweet with the best line up to date with Teen Archer, Flesh World and Brainwaves on supports. It's also Franca from Brainwaves birthday party too which makes things even sweeter. She don' drink and she don' smoke but do get her a drink of some non-alcoholic description when you see her.

Who went to UV Race last night? Get a tape? Any good? My pal Christina scored me one while i was working late.... Really wanted to see UV Raggers but i will be seeing them in 2 months in NY and in Memphis. Excited! Anyway, tonight everyones goin' down to Northcote Social Club for possibly the biggest gig of the year for Melbtown. Tomorrow Golden Staph are playing with Woollen Kits and The School Of Radiant Living at Yah-Yah's in the arvo-fer F R E E.

We'd like to reach out for your help!

Since new management took over the birmingham last year, we've seen some incredible local bands through the venue and have grown to be a great fixture Melbourne's live music community.

The idea of hosting bands at the Birmingham is slowly fading due to noise complaints from one neighbour. And in the last couple of days,
has become serious to the point that we could be told to cease bands as of tonight - I would also like to point out that the neighbour moved into the residence after the venue had been hosting bands.

In a last minute dash - we are asking for anyone who has visited the venue, for a beer or a band, or even anyone who appreciates the importance of preserving the venue to sign this petition below.

Although - on a legal standpoint, the petition will not hold water, we are hoping to appeal to the neighbour so they can see the venue is loved and cherished by a broader public.

So, if you could please take the time to write a small message, or even just a signature - we will be passing this on the neighbour.

"There aren’t many people in Australia who have actually seen North Carolina rock and roll band Reigning Sound in the flesh and it’s looking less and less likely each year that they’ll ever make it out here to Australia. Well there is a way you can come close to the experience, and that is to get down to Yah Yah’s this Sunday night when Australia’s one and only Reigning Sound tribute band, Reigning Men, hit the stage and blast out the hits of Greg Cartwright and Co. I’m not sure if they take requests but they’re really really good. They’ll be joined by Chris Altmann of Vandas fame and his new band Que Paso. Reigning Sound, I mean, Reigning Men, this Sunday 21^st February at Yah Yah’s."

Popolice are playing and it's an ex New Zealand guy making deadly noisy pop.

Dachen are also playing and they feature a member from Woollen Kits. XTX are playing this shindig and they feature members from repairs and Splitfoot.Hammocks and Honey are playing and this is a wozza who is really into lady gaga and glitter so lets hope she is into tight spandex costumes as well.

There is also some band called the Warragul Disgrace who will play last and some of them are from Warragul and all are disgraceful.After the bands have played to get every one in the mood for loving and shagging there will be love of diagrams djing and shags will also be djing. Hey freaks Brisbane's 6 Ft. Hick are playing again tonight after last nights Spooky Fest which was awesome- lots of BBQ! I took lots of photos- ill update with those when this hangover dies down.

Anyway, tonight! The Jacknives and 6 Ft. Hick and then i'm dj'ing till Joel kicks me out of his bar. Theres going to be heaps of free bbq going around so get in early and get yourself a snag.

I think it's $6 which covers dinner, good tunes and watching the Corbett brothers annhilate again.

Melbourne man about town and occasional blogger T.J Honeysuckle is hosting the first(and hopefully not the only!) "Last Tram Home Presents". The bands playing are Late Arvo Sons, Crystal Thomas & The Flowers Of Evil and Aktion Unit. Honeysuckle will be manning the dj booth to play some of your favourites and many of his. It's $8 and it will be excellent!
